Patcha Blacks set to move forward with debut album

Reggae artiste Patcha Blacks is in high spirits as he works towards the completion of his debut album which is aptly titled Moving Forward.

The Westmoreland born singer who resides in Canada is the executive producer for the twelve-track project which is slated to be released this summer on his PB Records Imprint.

The album will feature mainly roots and culture reggae songs along with a few dancehall tracks.

“My album is almost finished we have a few more songs to mix and master and then it’s ready to go. It’s a wonderful project, reggae music lovers all over the world are going to love it. It’s mostly roots and culture. I’ve also recorded a couple dancehall tracks like Never Friends featuring Mr Easy and Don’t be Shy featuring Rose to show my versatility,” said Patcha Blacks.

Patcha Blacks was in the island recently promoting the album’s title track, Moving Forward which is the first single from the project.

“The feedback I got when I visited Jamaica in December was awesome. Everywhere I went to promote Moving Forward I received a warm reception,” he said.

Patcha Blacks is scheduled to return in April to shoot a video for the next single off the album which is a steamy upbeat dancehall song titled Don’t Be Shy featuring Rose.

“This song has all the right ingredients to be hit, the rhythm is tight, and the lyrical exchange between Rose and myself is hot. We’re going to shoot a nice video for this song and put a lot of promotion behind it,” said the artiste.After the video shoot, he is scheduled to return to Canada to make preparations for the release of the album.
