OC G takes on Infidelity With Best Friend’s Girl
Fast rising dancehall artiste OC G is not afraid to tackle controversial topics with his music.
The talented singjay who hails from Westmoreland has been creating quite a stir with the release of his new single titled Best Friend’s Girl.
The song tells a tale of a man who is struggling to make the right decision when his friend’s girl expresses a desire to have an intimate relationship with him.
“I know that this song is going to ruffle some feathers, but I don’t mind. My songs are influenced by reality. Society makes it look like as if men are the only ones who cheat, but a lot of women cheat too and often times they do it with their partner’s best friend. These things happen all the time; I’ve heard many stories about it,” said OC G.
Best Friend’s Girl was produced by the hit making duo of Jordan McClure and David ‘Hizzle’ Hayle on the Break Away riddim and released on their Chimney Records imprint last week. Since then it has been enjoying heavy rotation a number of top local radio stations.
“It’s not even a week since the song was released and its already creating a big buzz. It’s getting a lot of love in the streets and online too,” said the artiste.
A music video will be shot for Best Friend’s Girl next week.
OC G is also promoting another new single titled Dancehall Nice that was produced by DJ Frass on the All Inclusive riddim.
