Introducing Jamaican Reggae Singer Humbleton

Oswald Burt aka Humbleton is a Jamaican reggae singer and songwriter. He was born in eastern Hanover and grew up in and around Montego Bay area then moved to Kingston, Jamaica.
Throughout his childhood, Humbleton had no choice about his musical inclinations, as music was always in his surroundings. Both his parents loved music, attended church and played music in the home. Throughout his community music from nearby homes, shops and halls was constantly heard coming from radios and sound-systems. As a result of this, his interest in music was piqued at the tender age of five.
Humbleton also became inspired by the music of the founding fathers of reggae along with the artists of his generation. Subsequently, he preceded his passion. Humbleton’s earlier recordings were voiced and produced by prominent producers in Jamaica ~ Black Scorpio, Ed Robinson, Mack D and Star Trail.
His first recording was in 2005; thereafter he started to appear on stage shows like Camp Fire and All Schools Jam. Humbleton then migrated to the United States in 2006. During a stint on Irie Jamboree his career gained momentum. He has kept his music career steady and has shared the stage with reggae luminaries like Ansel Meditations, Anthony B, Beenie Man, Ed Robinson, Frankie Paul, Lady Saw, Luciano, Mr. Vegas, Stephen Marley, the late Sugar Minott and Wayne “Sleng Teng” Smith just to name a few.
This singer songwriter has claimed 2014, as his year and is on a role. He recently released three singles on his own record label (Burt’s Villa Music). His music sits between Roots Reggae and Lovers Rock. “Love For A Reason,” pays attention to the beauty of someone’s heart with an end result of love. “Love Is What She Need,” lets the ladies know that the men are paying attention to their needs and wants. It also indicates that the men are trying to make adjustments to the homes to make it a happy place. Lastly, “On Top of The World,” gives its listeners an idea of how the artist feels when he is in the heights of his music. All three songs are must haves and should be in everyone’s cd changer. They are now available on iTunes.
