Cayman-based dancehall artiste Glamaton is in an upbeat mood as his single titled Jamaican Slang on the J Keys Records continues to grow in popularity.
The song which is the title track from his debut album was released in February since then it has enjoyed steady rotation on several top local radio stations including HITZ 92 FM and IRIE FM.
“I feel very good about the response that my song is getting. It’s receiving strong support from DJs in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, the US and Europe. I’m also getting positive comments about it from my fans on Facebook,” said the artiste.
Glamaton recently shot a video for Jamaican Slang. The video which was filmed in Grand Cayman under the direction of Jamaican music video director Shat Video is scheduled to be released in May.
“The video is currently being edited and will be ready for release early next month.”
The St. Elizabeth born deejay has been very busy doing the promotional rounds in support of his single and album.
“I’m doing a lot of promotion for the single and the album, so far I’ve done several interviews on radio stations in Jamaica, Cayman and other parts of the world. I am also planning to visit Jamaica next month to do an intensive promotional campaign,” said Glamaton.
