Dazzle B’s Biography

Hardwork is the key to success” is the philosophy that dancehall artiste Dazzle B lives by.

From a very early age Donovon Reid also known as Dazzle B knew that he wanted to pursue a career in music.  Music has always played a major part in his life, so from very early he surrounded himself with music from all genres.

He remembers vividly as a youngster growing up listening to the likes of Bounty Killer and Spragga Benz and thinking to himself that music was what he wanted to do. It wasn’t until 2006 that he really decided to take music seriously and ventured in the career of becoming a recording artiste.

Dazzle B hails from the parish of Kingston in the community of Jungle. He was born to parents Myrtle Cochrane and Amos Reid. Growing up in a volatile area wasn’t easy but he surrounded himself with music and made the decision that music would be his way out.

The upcoming sensation describes his style of music as dancehall and one drop with a hint at something different.

Dazzle B first single “Aint One Thing” was recorded in 2006 and his determination kept him in the studios creating irresistible melodic lyrics.

With his undying passion for music, Reid started his own recording company, called Dasz Records in 2007.He later recorded songs such as “Fashion Walk”, a collaboration with Rohan Fashion back in 2007, Picture Me a road produced by his own label Dasz Records and Ian Moore in 2012 and The Way I feel, produced again under his own label Dasz Records and Michael Fairman.

He has been working closely with top producer Askell from Vision house Records who shares the same passion for music.

Dazzle B is currently working on his second EP which is not yet titled. In 2012 he released his sophomore EP entitled “The Way I Feel,” which was very well received on ITunes.
